    Well defined Sapwood.Heartwood is wellowish. The timber dries moderately slowly,with very little upgrade, with very little degrade, except for some cupping, bowing and Powder-post beetle attacks in the sap wood. Excellent for high class joinery work, cabinet making, furniture etc. 575- 735 kg / cubic mtr
 
    Characteristics Usage Density
    Moderately well-defined and lighter in colour than heartheartwood. The colour of freshly cut heartwood is yellow or grey-brown, weathering ultimately to deep brown.The grain is interlocked ; texture is fine and even. Due to its sturdy nature it is used for the construction of wood doors, frames, truck body building and all types of furniture. 850 - 1155 kg / cubic mtr
